Our Advent Reflection took place on December 2 and was led by Fr. Michael Zimmerman, who is the Assistant Director of the Office of Vocations for the Archdiocese. He teaches at St. John’s Seminary as an adjunct Scripture Professor and helps chaplain the campus ministry at Northeastern University Fr. Michael spoke about Advent as A Season of Hope, quoting the scriptures as well as CS Lewis and a French poet, Charles Peguy. In addition to his inspirational talk, there was Adoration and individual Benedictions for all those attending. Fr. Zimmerman was just asked to serve as the Formation Advisor at the Pontifical North American College in Rome. We were fortunate to have him with us before he heads to Rome.
